Engen, Kurt N.

Age 62 of Farmington, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by his daughter, Airyn Wendorf; parents, Gloria and Neil Engen; brother, Kim Engen. Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kathy; daughters, Lindsey (Jacob) Livingston and Katie Engen; grandchildren, Camryn, Abby, Ava, Ayden, Audrey and Brooklynn; son-in-law, Andy (Erin) Wendorf; siblings, Gwyn Davis, Brett (Sally) Engen, Crystal (Noel) Dupont and Dean Engen; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Kurt was born February 1st, 1956 in Duluth, MN to Gloria and Neil Engen. He graduated from Duluth East High School in 1974. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, in September of 1976. They were married 42 wonderful years and raised three beautiful daughters. Kurt spent most of his time with his family and friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, he was the best Papa. Kurt enjoyed spending time up at the lake. He had a passion for the outdoors; hunting, fishing, gardening, and a heart for birds. He was truly a great man with endless patience, wisdom, and a great sense of humor. His memory will forever be in our hearts. Memorial Service at 11am on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior. Luncheon to follow at Rascal’s Bar & Grill.
