Quist, Arnold K. “Arnie”

Age 93 of Mpls., born Sep. 10, 1923 in Mpls to Nels & Martha Quist, passed away peacefully April 8, 2017. Arnie served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific, 25th Infantry Div. He was a graduate of South High School and was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church, AFLC in North Mpls. since 1956. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; siblings: Alice Quist, Carl Quist, Norman Quist, Myrtle Bieging and Ruby Soholt and nephews, David Schuler and Norman Quist, Jr. Arnie will be dearly missed by his loving companion of 17 1/2 years, Donna Jarl; nieces & nephews: Kathryn Quady, Paul Quist, Valerie Baldwin, Ann Schuler, Philip Schuler and Barbara Lotti as well as all of Donna’s Extended Jarl Family. Funeral service, 11:00am, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 with visitation one hour before at Hope Lutheran Church, AFLC, 5200 Emerson Ave. N., Mpls. Arnie will be laid to rest with his wife, Shirley at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made.
