Lois Berg of Apple Valley, Minnesota died at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Thursday May 14th after suffering a stroke on Mother’s day. She was 87. Lois was born on November 2nd, 1927, in Slayton, Minnesota to her parents, William Paden and Martha Nelson Paden. She graduated from Tracy high school and was an administrative assistant for the city of Bloomington Minnesota for many years. Lois was preceded in death by first husband Stanley V. Hanson and husband, Robert A. Berg, and her son, Dennis Hanson. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Thelma, Wilbur, Lucille, Harold and Evelyn. Lois is survived by her children Steven V. (Jo) Hanson, Kathy L. Hanson (Fred) Tscholl, Roger A. (Kay) Hanson, and Timothy James “Gunnar” (Lynn) Berg; 19 grandchildren: Julie, Kerri, Jodi, Zak, Rachel, Jenny, Jessie, Benjamin, Aaron, Irene, Derek, Alex, Jed, Ethan, Christine, Kirsten, Izaiah, Jared, Marion and Robert; 24 great grandchildren: Whitney, Breanna, Lindsey, Kailey, Caleb, Robert, Elijah, Wesley, Lydia, Silas, Elliot, Indigo, Mitchell, Brooklyn, Eli, Lily, Noah, Abby, Rayenna, Iya, Titus, Emma, Odin, Liam and two on the way; and 1 sister, Lorane Onken. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, May 19 at Minnesota Valley Church, 16075 Hawthorn Path, Lakeville, with Visitation beginning at 10 AM. Luncheon will follow at the Church. Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:35 AM Wednesday, May 20 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. |
