Gladys M. Zgodava
Now at home in Heaven with her Lord Jesus and reunited with her husband, Michael, Gladys passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at her side at age 92 on Sept. 21, 2013. An active volunteer at The Church of St. Helena in Mpls., she devoted much time to in-church activities as well as outside nursing home visits. She was Good Neighbor of the Day on WCCO Radio for service to the VFW. She was blessed with many friends and neighbors who loved her and shared many joyful get-togethers. A very special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Randi during her illness. Gladys will be dearly missed by her children: Larry (Diane), Jaye (Dick) Vaaler and Michael (Marsha); granddaughters: Lauran, Susan, Karin, Sarah, Maria, Michone, Leslie and Dana; 15 great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Visitation, 5-7 pm, Wednesday, Sep. 25, 2013 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Mpls. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, Thursday, Sep. 26 at Church of St. Helena, 3204 E. 43rd St., Mpls. with visitation one hour prior. Gladys will be laid to rest with her husband, Michael at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the church.
