Henry Olaf Westby

Westby, Henry Olaf “Hank” age 100, of Mpls. Preceded in death by wife, Goldie; son, David; parents, Anne and Ole; sisters, Agnes, Olga and Eleanor. Survived by sister, Hazel; sons, Richard (Sandra), James (Gail), Jerry (Eloise); daughters, Ann (Paul), Barbara, and Judy (Helen); daughter-in-law, Ruth; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren. Hank was born April 8, 1910 and graduated from Mpls South High in 1928. He attended the University of MN where he played two years of baseball. In 1934, the Golden Gophers won the Big 10 Championship. He worked at Honeywell for 37 years. Funeral service Friday, Sept. 10 at 11 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2511 E. Franklin Ave., Mpls. Visitation 4-7 PM Thursday at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S. and 1 hour before service. Interment Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials to South High Foundation or BAJ Scholarship Fund.
