William E. Schwoch, 78 of Rosemount, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, to be with GOD after battling lung cancer on March 15. He is survived by his loving wife Joan, with whom he shared 45 years of happy and treasured memories, his daughter Michele (Jeff) Berger, one very special granddaughter Amanda, brothers Robert (Thelma) and Richard (Phyllis), sister-in-law Annette, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also, other children Tracy Schulte and Kevin Schwoch, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hazel Schwoch. Funeral Service is 11 AM Friday at Celebration Church, 16655 Kenyon Ave., Lakeville. Visitation 4-7 PM Thursday at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Henry W. Anderson, Apple Valley. (952) 432-2331.

William Schwoch was born March 2, 1932 in Thorpe, Wi. He was baptized March 27, 1932 in Chelsea, Wisconsin, and in the Jordan River in Israel. William was confirmed March 30, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheldon, Wi. He attended Elementary school in Rice Lake, Wi. And Chieftain High School in Holcombe, Wi. His parents Elmer and Hazel Smith married August 14, 1930. They farmed in Holcombe. His father was a teacher and his mother a nurse. In 1950, they moved to Conrad, Montana where Bill worked on his uncle’s farm and others. Bill served his nation in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He met Joan on a blind date, and married on April 24, 1965. Their daughter Michele Rose was born July 3, 1968. Bill worked at Anaconda Smelter in Great Falls, B.F. Nelson Paper Co. in N.E. Minneapolis as a machinist for 2 years, Brockway Glass in Rosemount for 17 years, Superintendant of Maintenance for Brockway Golf Course for 17 years, and Kemp’s in Farmington for 7 years. Bill & Joan lived in Bloomington 2 years, Minneapolis 1 year, and Rosemount from 1968-present. Bill loved to golf and spend time with his granddaughter, Amanda. Bill and Joan loved traveling around the world. Bill was a very loving, kind, and helpful person.
