“Bill”
Age 102 of Bloomington, born June 6, 1914 in Minneapolis to Carl and Esther Almquist, passed away July 6, 2016. Bill graduated from U of MN in 1937 then served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Germany & France. He built a career in insurance and enjoyed real estate. Bill was a proud 70+ year member of Hennepin Ave. UMC. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anola, and his 3 younger siblings: Roy, Helen Armagost and Harold. He will be dearly missed by his nephews, Gary (Cindy) and Greg (Daryl); niece, Sue (Andy) Hollenbeck and other family and friends. A memorial gathering is planned 3-5 pm, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Bill was laid to rest at Acacia Park Cemetery on July 8th.
