Gene & Dottie, I'm so sorry I could not be there a week ago this past Monday. I tried to rearrange my appointments but just didn't work out. Please know that Tom was in my thoughts and prayers were with you and the whole family at Mass that day; I will continue to lift you up in prayer. St. Tom, pray for us.

I met Tom way back in 2000 or 2001 when we were both programmers at Compuware. We stayed occasional friends ever since. I remember our conversations and times together fondly. What a great family man and fine example of a model husband, father, and community servant he was. I can hardly even believe he is gone. My heart and prayers go out to his wife, Michele and the rest of the family. What a real loss.

Tom reverently gave me Holy Eucharist Saturday night. A communicant dropped the consecrated host and Tom, with great dignity, retrieved the host and consumed it. I am praying Jesus provided Tom viaticum, food for the journey. I also pray Rosaries and Divine Mercy Chaplets for Tom's soul and your family. May Jesus deliver strength to each of you. I do not know you or Tom personally, but am sad and heartbroken. Peace of God be with you.

I remember Tom fondly from our years together at St. John's/St. Ben's and lately from reconnecting on Facebook. We didn't always agree, but I hope we made each other think. I hope for peace for his family.

I knew Tom from St. Johns/St. Bens. I have fond memories of watching the twin world series at his apt at St. Johns. He will be missed. I will be praying for him and his family.

Michele, I was heartbroken to hear of Tom's death. He was an all-around great guy. May you and all your family experience God's peace that passes all understanding. Know that you are surrounded by the prayers of many people.
