Illg, Thomas John

Age 50 of Apple Valley, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2017. Survived by wife, Michele;children, Joshua, Joseph & Chloe Illg, Christina & Amber Severson & Shawna McGuire; parents, Gene & Dottie; brother, Jon (Kimberly) of Rochester; sister, Amy (Jason) Solinger; nieces and nephews, Emerson, Reagan, Dominick, Jackson and Lucia; many other relatives and friends. Tom worked in the IT dept. of the U of M and was a Retired Lieutenant of the Apple Valley Fire Department. He was very active in the church community. Tom was a proud graduate of St. John’s University. He loved camping, being active, running, the outdoors and everything sports.Visitation from 1-4pm on Sun., May 7, 2017 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am on Mon., May 8, 2017 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd., Eagan, with visitation one hour prior to mass.  Interment Lebanon Cemetery.
