Saundra Elaine Jeffrey (Kasai)
Saundra was born on April 2, 1941 and died on May 10, 2011. She is survived by husband of 49 years, Gerald Jeffrey; mother, Marie Kasai; daughter, Annette Rich, (husband, Brian) and grandchildren, Tyler, Marissa and Elaina; daughter, Charlene Tennant; granddaughter Jamie and great-granddaughter, Anna Marie; and son, Scott Jeffrey, (wife, Heather) and granddaughters, Nikayla and Ella. She was also survived by siblings, Mabel Nelson, Dorothy Kasai and Mike Kasai.

Saundra and Gerald were members of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake, Minnesota and St. Helena Catholic Church in Minneapolis. She was a member of the Tri-tones women’s singing group, employed by Minneapolis Public Schools for 25 years and was an active member of Nisswa American Legion for 11 years.

Saundra lived on Lougee Lake for 14 years as a retiree, and her hobbies included counted cross stitching, singing and reading novels. She loved spending time with family at “the lake” and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Cheryl Bailey, nurse Helen and Allina Hospice.

Memorial Mass, Saturday, May 14th, 10:30 AM, St. Helena Catholic Church, 3204 E. 43rd St., Mpls. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls., and 1/2 hour prior to service at the church. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery. Donations in Saundra’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
