Russell L., age 70 of Apple Valley, born May 20, 1936 in Fergus Falls, MN went to be with his Lord June 2, 2006. Russell was instrumental in creating the Special Olympic program in Minnesota. He was also a P.E. and Adapted P.E. teacher in the Mpls. schools for 15 years and 15 years in Special Ed. at ISD 287. Russell is survived by his loving wife, Karen; children: Sara Sundberg, Michael (Kelley) and Amy (Chuck) Dabrowski; grandchildren: Joshua, Michelle, Nicholas, James, Ashley, Jocasta, Annika and Matthew; brother, Roger (Ruth) and many other family and friends. Visitation is 4 – 7 PM, Monday, June 5, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, and one hour before the service at church. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Berean Baptist Church, 309 E. Co. Rd 42, Burnsville. Graveside Service, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fergus Falls.
