Russell H. Christenson, age 70 of Apple Valley formerly of Mankato , born August 21, 1936 in Grantsburg WI , passed away October 23, 2006. Russell was a successful electrical supply salesman for 35 years working for Southern Minnesota Electric, H & C Electric, Sterling Electric and Graybar Electric Companies. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie & Orvilla Christenson. Russell is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; daughter, Cyndi (Scott) St. Pierre; son, Mark (Brenda) Christenson; grandchildren: Kayleigh, Alexa, Erik and Erin; sister, Joanne (Darrell) Crotty and other family and friends. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Grace Lutheran Church, 7800 Co. Rd. 42, Apple Valley. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and also one hour before the service at church. Interment will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato.
