Butler, Ron J.

Age 76 of Farmington, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents, Earle and Violet; brother-in-law, Fritz Purrmann. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beverly; children, Kimberly (Wayne) Killmer and Patrick (Jayne) Butler; beloved grandchildren, Samantha, Kali and Sarah Killmer, Michael and Matthew Butler; brother, William (Martha) Butler of Palmer, Alaska; sister, Merlee Purrmann of Germany; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron was an active member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Lakeville. He belonged to the American Legion Post 1776 in Apple Valley. Ron and Beverly were active with the Apple Valley Senior Center where Ron was the Assistant Treasurer. He loved his neighborhood, neighbors and friends. Ron was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to his flowers and plants. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Funeral at 11am on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 16200 Dodd Lane, Lakeville, with visitation one hour prior. Private Family Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
