Dowzak, Robert Anthony
Born May 3, 1935 to Edward J. & Catherine Kloeppel Dowzak in Breckenridge, MN. He was confirmed at St. Albert Church in Whapeton High School. Robert attended Valley City State Teacher’s College before joining the Army. He served during the Korean Conflict stationed in Alaska. Upon completion of his tour he attended St. Cloud State University. Robert came to Mpls and worked for Mpls Moline until it was sold. He then was employed by Crown Iron. He retired in 1997 after many years as a postal worker. Bob loved trivia & traveling. He was an avid Vikings fan, loyal American Legion member, and faithful VA volunteer. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerome, Thomas & Stanley. He is survived by brothers, Frank & William; nephews, Thomas, Steven, Scott & Matthew; grand nieces & nephews, Jenny, Kyle, Aaron, Samantha, Keri & Tysen. Arrangements by Henry W. Anderson Mortuary with service at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church, 5011 31st Ave. S. Mpls at 1 PM, Saturday, Nov. 12. Reviewal at noon. Interment at Fort Snelling at 11:30 AM, Monday Nov. 14.
