Rita Mary Jacobson

Age 56 of Mpls., born July 17, 1963 in Mora MN to Clarence & Anna Spinler, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sep. 20, 2019.  Rita worked in the Hematology Lab for 34 years at the VA Med. Ctr.  She had a passion for flowers and gardening, loved her animals and enjoyed making quilts and occasion cards with her sisters. What will be mostly missed is her beautiful smile and kindness that she showed to everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and Edward; and sister, Lorraine.  Rita will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 26 years, David “Jake”; siblings: Joe (Yolanda), Kathy (Jim) Grady, Mark (Dominique), John (Becky), Paul (Lisa), Mary (Joe) Hopfner, Teri (Dave) Olson, Leonard and Clarence (Loretta) and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, Sep. 28, 2019 with a visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55407.  Memorials may be made to Salvation Army or the Humane Society.
