Richard L. Nelson, 71, of Apple Valley, passed away Friday. He was born March 2, 1941 in Minneapolis to Harold and Donna (nee Howrey) Nelson. Richard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rita, sons Steve and Mark (Nina), grandchildren Hannah, Olivia, Ava, and Sofie. He was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Samuel. He will be loved and treasured forever. Visitation is scheduled for 10-11 AM, Tuesday, August 28 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331, followed by an 11 AM Funeral Service. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights.
