Phyllis Adair Hutchinson (Leach)
died of natural causes at the age of 90. Phyllis was born in Minneapolis on Nov. 15, 1922. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended the Minneapolis School of Art and the University of Minnesota before marrying Cyrus McAllister July 4, 1942 in California. Phyllis remarried in 1955 to Howard Hutchinson from Duluth and they lived most of their years together in Bloomington. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sharon McAllister (Larry Levine), son, Cyrus McAllister (Loretta), and son, Mark Hutchinson (Debbie). Phyllis’ grandchildren include: Anne Winters (Kevin), Jessicca Williams (Joel), Kathryn Pacholke (Tony), Ed Kurtti (Bri Hanson), Kent Nowlan, Dan Nowlan (Olga), and Christine Carney (Mike). Great-grandchildren include: Michael McAllister, Danielle Carney, Abigail and Ariel Williams, Johnny and Joey Pacholke, Destiny and Serenity Kurtti. By faith and trust in Jesus Christ, Phyllis became a Christian before she passed away and will be joined in heaven with her parents, Elmer and Helen Leach and her younger baby brother, Willis who died soon after birth. Phyllis was artistic, funny, kind and generous and she will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held 5-7 pm, Wed. March 27, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls., and also one hour before the service on Thursday. The funeral service will be, 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Mpls. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery.
