Mary Delperdang
Age 51 of Lakeville, born October 15, 1963 in LeMars, IA to Wayne & Jeanette Delperdang, passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2015. Ms. Delperdang taught Physical Education at Highland Elementary in Apple Valley since 1995 and also taught in Iowa previously. Mary loved to spend summers relaxing at the family lake home on Lake Okoboji in Iowa. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA and went on to earn her Master’s Degree from St. Mary’s University. Mary enjoyed boating, biking, and the Minnesota Vikings, as well as staying in touch with the many friends she made throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Allan, Julie and Dean Delperdang. Mary will be dearly missed by her sisters and brother: Helen (Jon) Dykstra, Hospers, IA, Faye (Dave) Klein, Granville, IA, Donna (Daryl) Beckmann, Apple Valley, MN, Dan (Kolette) Delperdang, Spirit Lake, IA; nieces and nephews: Ryan and Ric Dykstra, Jill (Travis) Colling, Ken, Katie and Andrew Klein, Julie, Jodie (Miller), and Melissa Beckmann, Kaela, Kelsey, and Kourtney Delperdang; great-nieces and great-nephews: Ayden and Chayley Dykstra, Lincoln & Bohdy Colling, Madeline Beckmann and Avery Miller; and numerous other family and friends. A viewing will be held 11:00am -1:00pm and visitation (no viewing)4-7pm, Friday, March 13, 2015 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, MN. Another visitation will be held 3-5pm, with a prayer service at 5:00pm, Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Fisch Funeral Home, 310 Fulton St., Remsen, IA. Mary will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA, 10:00am, Monday, March 16, 2015. Memorials preferred to Highland Elementary P.E. in lieu of flowers.
