Martin G. Young
Age 81 of Apple Valley, born August 9, 1943, in Detroit, MI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 26, 2024. His battle with serious medical issues in the past year and a half, showed his courage in facing life challenges with optimism and strength.

Martin Served in the US Air Force during Vietnam. His work ethic was unmatched by anyone who knew him. He worked in the computer industry for over two decades, followed by a career in the courier business in the years before retirement. He and his wife also opened their home to over 90 foster care children, for whom they cared for very deeply.

Martin will be dearly missed by his wife of 58 years, Nina; children, Heather Furey
and Trevor (Heidi) Young; grandchildren: Andrew (Jenna) Young, Ashley (Luke)
Shaw, Alexander (Lauren) Young, Brianna (Brandon) Lauer, Abigail (Adam) Watson and Mitchell
Grassmann; 7 great grandchildren; siblings: Shirley (Mike) Levitt, Charlotte Peterson and Robert
(Maureen) Young and many other family and friends.

A funeral service for Martin will be held on November 4, 2024, at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue in Apple Valley. Martin will be laid to rest at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
