Mark Norman Larson was born on May 1, 1951 in Fayette, MO to C. Robert and Carla J. Larson and passed away in Minneapolis, MN on December 11, 2005. He was baptized at Tabor Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL. At a Young age, Mark, with his family, moved from Fayette, MO to Waverly, IA where he grew up. He attended the Waverly schools and graduated from Wartburg College with a major in art. He taught school in Sabula, IA for two years and then moved to Minneapolis, MN to further his art studies. He married Lynn Sorlie on November 3, 1979 at the Fort Snelling Chapel in Minneapolis. Various job opportunities led the couple to live in Largo, Fl, New Orleans, LA, Cincinnati, OH, Plainfield, IL and Minneapolis, MN where he came under the care of the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics. He is preceded in death by his father, C. Robert Larson. Mark is survived by his wife Lynn; mother, Carla; brothers, Steven (Sharon), and Leif (Marie); nieces Ailie and Ava; nephews, Cody and Caleb; brother-in-law, Craig Sorlie and several family and friends. Funeral service is 1:30 PM, Friday, December 16, 2005 , with visitation one hour before the service at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 41st street and 17th ave., Minneapolis. Interment Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the C. Robert Larson Voice Scholarship at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
