Marilyn, a retired elementary school teacher, often shared how grateful she was to those who encouraged her to go to the U of M and pursue a degree for a career she loved. She taught for 30 years at Minnehaha/ Keewaydin Elementary School in Minneapolis and enjoyed being part of the teachers group known as the “HaHa’s”. Marilyn also served in the US Naval Reserve, sang in church and community choirs, and assisted in developing the Dakota City Heritage Village at the Dakota County fairgrounds. She raised raspberries and managed a tree farm on her property with her husband C. Leonard “Len” Quist. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Fern Hendricks, Bonita Springs, FL and sister-in-law, Glorian Fedderly, Rosemount, MN, Leonard Quist’s children, Paul and Wayne, a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband C. Leonard Quist, former husband Peter Jensen, parents Clara and Henry Fedderly, brothers William and Stuart, sisters Dorothy and Virginia, and special friend Donald Limbeck. Visitation for Marilyn will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, MN (952-432-2331).
