Lyle Ansley Stokke

Age 100, passed away peacefully on January 8.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Phyllis (Angier) and son-in-law, Richard Mielke. He is survived by four children: Marilyn Mielke, Barbara (Curtis) Boltman, Robert (Jane), and William (Lynn); 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Delmont, and special niece, Pamela Angier. Lyle graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1937 and the Minnesota School of Business in 1939.  He was a proud WWII Army veteran who served in the European Theater.  After 35 years as a buyer, Lyle retired from Midland Cooperative in 1981. He was an avid golfer and lifetime member of Hiawatha Golf Club. Funeral service, 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 with a visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Mpls.  Lyle will be laid to rest with his wife, Phyllis at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Meals on Wheels.
