LTC (Ret.) Dallas F. Britton
Age 65
Dallas was born January 8, 1951 on Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas to Norma Jean and Jesse Joe. He died March 24, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Doris; sons Joe and Chris; daughters-in-law Nicole and Katie; grandchildren Jack and Emma; brothers Barry and Tony; sister Linda; as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandy. He was loved by many and will be profoundly missed. Dallas graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1973. Colonel Britton retired after 21 years of service. He was Airborne, Ranger, and Special Forces qualified, and his awards include the Legion of Merit and Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Service Thursday 11 a.m. at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th & Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Visitation Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 1 hour before service. Interment to follow at Fort Snelling.
