Lorraine H. Hultgren (nee Kind)
Age 93 of Minneapolis, born June 19, 1922 in Minneapolis to Edwin & Ellen Kind, passed away Nov. 9, 2015 in Brainerd, MN. Lorraine is a 1941 graduate of South High School. Lorraine and her husband, Richard enjoyed camping with the Legion #99, taking the RV to Texas & Alaska and summering at Park Lake, MN for 20 years. She was a prolific reader, musician and poet who could sing and play her keyboard and harmonica by ear. Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; daughter, Sue Tower and sister, Bernice. She is survived by her daughter, Sharen Peterson “Peggy”; grandchildren: Kelli (Pat) Ebnet, Heidi Olson and Erik (Anita) Peterson; great-grandchildren: Kaylene, Joel, Katie, Nick, Allie, Tiera, Jacob, Nathan, Natalie and Tate and dearest friend, Jackie Freidlund. As a resident of Harmony House in Brainerd, MN, Lorraine “Rainey” enjoyed the staff and her stay there. The family is extremely grateful for the one on one care provided. Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband, Richard after the graveside service, 2:30pm, Friday Dec. 4, 2015 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, assembly area #2. The family is requesting no flowers please.
