Kristofor Lund Storvick,
of Eagan, MN, departed this earth on the morning of May 25th, 2021. Son of Rolf and Karen (Lund) Storvick, Kris was born on November 11th, 1982in Rochester, MN. He was raised in Mankato, MN where he attended Mankato West HighSchool and thrived in everything from sports to music to academics. He met his wife, Gemma (Soderholm) Storvick the summer after high school. They attended Gustavus Adolphus College together, marrying on June 10th, 2006.Kris was a brilliant man who majored in Physics undergraduate. He put forth his athletic gifts and strength towards playing defensive end for the Gustavus football team. He loved every minute and was a remarkable player. After Gustavus, Kris went on to attend the University of Minnesota Law School, Twin Cities. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009, entering the Minnesota Bar as a Patent Attorney. He practiced as an exceptional and respected corporate attorney. Kris was a strong, steady, kind, funny and witty man. He was a gift to his family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. Anyone who had the pleasure to spend time with him, work with him, coach with him, was blessed. He was a devoted husband and father who provided his wife (Gemma) and children (Theron, Annika and Kaleb) with fierce love, support and protection. He attended every Christmas concert, trick or treat, preschool graduation, swimming lesson, track meet and baseball game he could. His children and their activities brought him so much joy. He wholeheartedly encouraged and cheered and supported them every step of the way. He was everything a father and husband should be. Kris also had a wholehearted devotion to Gopher Football (though this was cyclically a love-hate relationship). He loved to take part in the excitement of the draft, preseason, and game attendance with his brother Hans. Along with tailgating with his parents, Karen and Rolf. And he always hung in there, year to year, regardless of the season’s final record. One place that was near and dear to Kris’ heart was the Storvick Family cabin on Pelican Lake, MN. The cabin was a gift that provided so much fun, beauty, relaxation, and always a ridiculous amount of food. He loved to Jet Ski, fish, boat, and jump on the water trampoline with his children. Kris was a large man in spirit, faith, body and strength. He will be so very dearly missed. But we are grateful for the 38 years he was with us on this earth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Storvick. He is survived by his wife of 15 blessed years, Gemma; his enthusiastic and spirited sons, Theron (9)and Kaleb (3), his brilliant and sweet daughter, Annika (7); his beloved brother Hans Storvick (Amy); and his giving, selfless father Rolf Storvick. Along with too many wonderful family members and friends to count. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a GoFundMe that has been set up to support Kris’ three children:Kris Storvick’s Kids Future GoFundMe Page. A visitation for Kris will be occurring at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN on Tuesday, June 8th from 4:00-7:00 pm. There will be an additional visitation at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Lakeville Campus, 9600 163rdSt. W, Lakeville, MN on Wednesday, June 9th from 10:00-11:00 am.
