Kevin Scott Blackmer
age 50, died peacefully on March 22, 2014 while embraced by his devoted wife of 26 years; Jean. (After making a stop at the rainbowbridge for Tex and Sonny; together they will watch over Jean and Hershey from heaven.) Preceded in death by his parents, Ward & Betty Blackmer; brother, Mike Blackmer & sister, Linda Blackmer. Kevin is survived by siblings, Kenny Blackmer, Sandy & Joe Grimm, Charles & Sue Blackmer, Cindy Blackmer, Tami & Mark McGruder & sister in-law Diane Blackmer. In-laws: Beverly & Ken Johnston, Greg & Debbie Howell, Mark Howell, Kenny & Cathy Harper, Beth & Ed Michaelsen. Step in-laws: Kevin & Diane Johnston, Kathy & Dave Hefflefinger. He will missed dearly by so many family and close friends. Especially his nieces and nephews. Who he has passed on so many wonderful memories and lessons. You can hear him now; “I taught ’em everything they know”. Always willing to go the extra mile for them, even if it scared him. He loved them all in a very special way. Kevin’s enormous laugh and big bear hugs can be attributed to his overgrown heart and ability to love fully. He loved his dog Hershey, football, singing in the shower and most of all Christmas.
