57,  passed away November 13, 2017.  She was born in San Jose, CA on December 7, 1959 to Bill and Carolyn McDougall.  

Kat was the oldest of four sisters and always led the way in bringing armloads of books home from the bookmobile. 

“Mac,” as she came to be known by friends,  grew up in Minnesota, attending Rosemount High School, where she first met Robert Brown.  She and her friends loved theater, books, the Renaissance Festival, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and all things fantasy and Sci-fi.  She was a second mom to many friends’ children and will be missed.

Kathleen was a rock star in her job at Macy’s, always helping co-workers and winning trips and prizes for excellent salesmanship.

She is preceded in death by parents Bill and Carolyn, and sister, Laura Hayes.  She is survived by sisters Amy Rood, Karen (Drey) Bradley, bonus sister Jakki (Greg) Wagner; stepfather Clint (Linda) Crosby; aunt and uncle Dora and Andy Truban; cousins Kathryn (Jeff) Fielding, Trish (Bill) Hart, Joice (Sean) Curry;  nephews and nieces Laura Wagner, David Wagner, Ryan and Lisa Hayes, Spencer and Caitlin Hayes, Sydney Hayes, Alex and Heather Rood, Jamie Rood, Michelle and Drake Paul, Kurt Bradley, and great-nephew Noah, to  whom she wished to instill a love of reading; and her beloved Rob Brown.  

Memorials will be donated to American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women and Bundles of Love.

A memorial gathering will be held at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary
