Ranke, Joseph J.
Age 94 of Apple Valley, born April 18, 1923 in Detroit, MI to Julius and Anna Ranke, passed away April 10, 2018. Joseph served in the US Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Blemke. Joe will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Gerda, daughters: Sonja (Sam) Nedland, JoAnn (Paul) Monnens and Linda (Dennis) Hogan; grandchildren: Natalie, Shawn, Justin, Zac, Ben and Kim; great-grandchildren: Teanna, Riley, Parker, Isaac, Kaia, Jameson, Finnegan, Piper, Rory, Kennedy and one more great-grandson on the way; sister, Rita Pszczolkowski and many other family and friends. Special thanks to the caring staff of Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. Memorial service, 10:30 AM, Friday, April 20, 2018 with visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Joseph will be laid to rest at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
