Jeffrey Lynn Wangstad
Age 79 of Apple Valley, born July 28th, 1945 in Minneapolis to Gladys and Marvin Wangstad, passed away peacefully, October 15, 2024.
He grew up in South Minneapolis and spent his summers at the family cabin in Waverly, MN with his siblings.
On October 16th, 1982 he married his true love, Nancy Carol Schmidt and they built their new beginning in Apple Valley, where they raised their 2 children, Michael and Jennifer. He spent his time coaching all the sports, attending fairs to eat pronto pups, going fishing with his family and friends at the Annual Wangstad Fishing Trip, teaching confirmation and attending meetings with some of his favorite people in the Ridgerunners AA group of 36 years.
One of Jeff’s greatest joys in life were his grandchildren: Noah (11), Logan (10) and Easton (5). They enjoyed sharing Oreo’s, chocolate and eating at Olive Garden together. There are a lot of things in his life that made him smile but his favorite was spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Loren and sister-in-law, Marcia Botner.
Jeff will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Nancy; children, Jenny (Dan) Elioff and Mike (Molly) Wangstad; grandchildren: Noah, Logan and Easton Elioff; siblings: Andy (Cathy), Jan (Joe) Agren and Lee (Nancy); sister-in-law, Sara and other family and friends.
