Memorial Service – 10:30 AM, Sat. Aug. 10, 2024
(Doors open at 10:00 AM)
Berean Baptist Church

Sweet little soul, Jack “Jackie” Harold Steinmetz, joined his heavenly Father and Savior on July 23, 2024. “Fearfully and wonderfully made,” Jack was born December 30, 2023 (Psalm 139:14 ESV). Prematurity did not stop Jack from popping open his curious eyes to look at his mama, just minutes after his birth when she first greeted him. Much loved, Jack spent each day thereafter with family consistently at his side. He knew the voices of his parents and sister well, and would routinely push through slumber to peek or raise his eyebrows when greeted. Complementing a kind spirit, Jack embodied an abundance of pluck and resolve, characteristic of generations past. Family misses their daily hand holding with Jack, cradling him, and reading him The Good News. Jack’s sister, Noelle, especially misses tickling him. Since “He who promised is faithful,” family look forward to reuniting with Jack in heaven (Hebrews 10:23 ESV). Nos vemos pronto, mi amor! For it is written, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” (John 10:27-29 ESV).
Jack was buried at Lebanon Cemetery in Apple Valley, MN. His “home-gone” memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville, MN. The service begins at 10:30 am, and church doors open at 10:00 am. There will be a lunch reception following the service. Parents, Jonathan and Kara Steinmetz (nee Phelps), welcome your attendance at Jack’s memorial service. Attire is as casual or as fancy-pantsy as you desire.
