Ryan, Gerald Odin
age 85, of Key West, FL passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Key West Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on July 2, 1926 at Grand Forks, ND to the late Ole I. Ryan and Gelina A. (Pederson) Ryan. Gerald moved to the Florida Keys 30 years ago coming from upper Midwest. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, SD. Gerald was a prayerful, faithful husband, father, brother, and friend with a passion for flying, singing, cooking, boxing, handball, reading, good conversation and fruitful thought. Surviving is his wife, Dr. Judith Joan Andre Ryan; son, Mr. Matthew Andre Ryan; daughter, Ms. Allison Marie Ryan McElligott; brother, Mr. Robert V. Ryan and wife Juanita; sister, Mrs. Carolyn J. Mickelberg and husband Erwin; grandchildren, Ryan Austin and Hunter Mitchell McElligott, Cassidy Erin Ryan. Services were held in Florida on Tuesday and will also be held in Minneapolis with a visitation Thursday, 6-8PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave S, Minneapolis. Service Friday, 10AM with visitation ? hour prior to service at Lakewood Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Ryan Prayer Garden at Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls, SD of Augsburg College 2211, Riverside Ave, CB142, Mpls, MN 55454 or Luther Seminary, 2481 Como Ave. St. Paul, MN.
