Cofield, Fern Audrey

Age 92, longtime resident of Apple Valley, went home to be with Jesus on November 8, 2021. Fern was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents, Oscar and Emma; and siblings, Robert, Miriam, Burdette, Loyd, Violet, Clinton, and Ethel. She is survived by her son, Stephen (Lisa); grandchildren, Joshua (Cassandra), Kara (Jesse) Lee, and Nathaniel; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Bennett, and Audrey; sister, Laurine Yates; sisters-in-law, Patricia Conklin, Nancy Kleeberger, and Earleen Berge; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Fern enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved to help others and hospitality was important to her. Fern had a strong faith and always made studying scripture a priority. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent the last year of her life surrounded by her family and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation from 5-8pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with prayer service at 7pm. Private graveside service for family and friends at Acacia Park Cemetery.
