Boehm, Ervin J.

Age 92 of Rosemount, MN, born August 27, 1932 in LaCrosse, WI to Henry & Susan Boehm, passed away peacefully November 8, 2024.

Ervin is preceded in death by his brother, Ernie; sister, Betty Richards; sister-in-law, Betty Boehm and brother-in-law, Max Richards.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn; children: Brenda (Ronald) Robbins, Karen (Christopher) Gordon and Kenneth (Mary); grandchildren: Tim, Aaron, Zachary (James), Scott, Megan and Jackson; great grandsons, Max and Hank; brother, Joe and many other beloved family and friends.

Ervin grew up on a family farm in southeastern Minnesota until joining the army at the age of 17. He was a proud Korean War veteran who served as a utility repairman in Okinawa, Japan. After his service, he worked on an apple orchard but soon moved to Minneapolis, following Marilyn Torgerson, the love of his life, whom he married on August 11, 1956. Later, he repaired air compressors (and just about anything else that needed fixing) across the twin cities, first as an employee of Modern Equipment and then as owner of Nokomis Equipment Company. He was a leader in the community, serving as commander of Fred Babcock VFW (of which he was a lifetime member) and member of his church council. Family meant everything to Erv and he was extremely proud of them. His family and friends will especially remember him as a jokester and storyteller who made friends wherever he went.

Visitation, 5-7 PM, Monday, November 11, 2024 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, and one hour before the service at church. Service, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 12 at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church, 4101 37th Ave S. in Minneapolis.  Ervin will be laid to rest at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Foundation.
