Dorothy G. Grimm,
age 89 of Golden Valley, born April 25, 1921 in Minneapolis to George & Ethel Johnson, passed away November 1, 2010. As a lover of music, Dorothy studied Opera at MacPhail Center for Music and sang with her high school trio all the way into her 70’s and also in the choir at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She was also active in many clubs in her Golden Valley neighborhood. She is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest and sister, Shirley. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Pamela (Vic) Fabano; son, Roger Grimm; grandchildren, Eric and Andrea Fabano; sister, Phyllis Hendrickson; and many other family and friends. A visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Thursday, Nov. 4, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. and also one hour before the service at church. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Nov 5, 2010 at Aldergate United Methodist Church, 3801 Wooddale Ave., St. Louis Park. Interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, 11:00 AM, Monday, assembly area #1. Special thanks to the staff at Colonial Acres for their love and care.
