Donald E. Hansen
age 89 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his wife, Una and brothers, Kenneth and Roland. Don will be dearly missed by children: John (Kathy), Judith, James and Janice (David) Kram; grandsons, Joshua (Natalie) and Justin, great-granddaughters, Olivia and Rhylei; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. Donald was born on June 24, 1925 in Minneapolis. He was a retired regional control buyer for Sears, a lifelong member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a life member of IOGT. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Visitation, 5-7pm, Wed., Nov 5th at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., and also one hour before the service Thursday at church. Funeral service 11:00am, Thurs., Nov. 6th 2014 at Bethel Ev. Lutheran Ch., 4120 17th Ave. S., Mpls. Don will be laid to rest with his wife Una at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Mount Olivet Careview Home or the Alzheimer’s Association.
