Dear Ione, We are Leonard & Jeanette DeLong. We live in the St. Cloud area, and happened to see Delbert's obituary in the Minneapolis Tribune. We send our sympathy to you and your family. We were interested in Delbert's name, and we were wondering if he had any relatives and/or ancestors in the St. Cloud or Foley MN area. My husband, Leonard, is the fourth generation to live in this area. (Leonard is 86 Years old) His father was Harold DeLong, Sr.. His grandfather was George DeLong, Sr., His great-grandfather was Thurston DeLong, Sr. Thurston Sr. is buried in the Benton County Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN. Thurston migrated from eastern Canada to Benton County, MN shortly after the Civil War. We know that Thurston and George had a number of sons , so we were wondering if your late husband, Delbert, may have traced his family to one of these men. We are sorry about your loss.
