Daryl J. Riley,
age 86 of Minneapolis, born Jan. 22, 1925 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Everett and Mary Riley, passed away peacefully at home May 28, 2011. Daryl served in the U.S. Army in Germany during WWII and retired after several years as a baker from the former Emerich Bakery in Minneapolis. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice. Survived by children: Keith Rasmusson, Gary Rasmusson (Cookie Wickham) and Sandra (Gary) Hanson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Inez Gugisberg; niece & nephews; and special friend, Lavonne Larson and family. Visitation, Thursday, 5-7 pm, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Mpls. Graveside service, 12:30 pm, Friday, June 3, 2011 at Ft Snelling National Cemetery, assembly area #4. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Twin Cities or a favorite animal shelter.
