I finally had that knee replacement Conor had been suggesting (for years) that I have done. I was so surprised to learn of his death. He could do those knee injections almost painlessly - and they never hurt the next day. I almost looked forward to needing the injections just so I could see Conor. He was special.

Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and send you my sincere condolences. May you find comfort from God's word at Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29. Heartfelt prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. While no words can erase the pain of your loss at this time, you can look forward to the promise at Revelation 21:4 – “God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Death and pain was not God's purpose for us. However, when this promise is fulfilled, we will enjoy life the way our Grand Creator purposed for us…forever on earth. (Psalms 37:11, 29)

Laura and family, we share the sorrow of the loss of Conor so suddenly. He was as described, a gentle giant and was a joy to work with back in the days of Fairview Red Wing. His smile, gentle but firm spirit and his caring for his patients and his co workers were present every day. May God bring you comfort and memories of joy in the days ahead. Scott and Donna Wordelman

I did not know nor had I ever met Conor, but his age and the cause of his passing--hypertrophic cardiomyopathy-- grabbed my attention. Late last month I experienced such an episode that by the grace of God led to my hospitalization/diagnosis. Please accept my sympathies on your loss and with sadness that Conor did not experience such an intervention earlier.

Sure going to miss you Conor. You were one of a kind. What a great team Mayo had with you and Dr Hughes. I have so much faith in that Dept and the work that you two did. God must have needed you and that big smile of yours for a reason.

I originally met Conor at UMM and later overlapped at DMU. His smile, laughter, and perpetual positive attitude (all of which I can still visualize) were constant. The textbook definition of a "Good Guy."

As being a recent high school graduate from Red Wing, I never imagined being able to learn from one the best medical professionals I’ve met. I got the chance to work Conor and all his colleagues during one of my rotations from a high school class where we got to explore different medical professions in a clinic / hospital setting. In the short time I got to spend with Conor, he taught me way more than I could imagine about the department of orthopedics. On the behalf of the Red Wing Mayo Clinic Helath Career Exploration Class spring semester 2018, we send our condolences. Conor will be greatly missed.

I will miss Conor. He was a good doctor, and knew what he was talking about. He will be missed by many. My heart goes out to his wife and family. I remember one time I went to see him, I noticed a ring on his finger, and asked did you get married? He was so proud of his wife. No one will be able to fill his shoes at the clinic. RIP Conor. We love and miss you.

I will miss Conor a lot. Through several surgeries he was the one I talked with the most. We would laugh and he understood me. We believe in living life and through sharing some stories I know he had a good life. My heart goes out to the family. We will all miss him.
