Cody James Swanson, 24, of Farmington, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 25. He was born March 11, 1990 in Burnsville, Minnesota to Scott and Shannon (nee Squires). Cody is survived by his companion Amy Ekstrom, father Scott (Stacy), mother Shannon (Chris), paternal grandparents Frank and Judy Swanson, maternal grandmother Kayla Slavik, sister Ashley (Greg) Shellum, brothers T.L. and Casey Moralis, plus nephew and god-son Aidan Shellum. Cody loved composing music, hunting with his father, and playing with his nephew. He was an awesome brother, who loved his family. Cody’s humor and adventurous spirit will be missed. Visitation is scheduled for 4-7 PM Thursday, May 29 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, and 1 hour prior to a 3 PM Funeral Service, Friday, May 30 at Farmington Lutheran Church, 20600 Akin Road, Farmington. Interment will follow in Corinthian Cemetery, Farmington.
