Charles “Chuck” J. Keiser
Age 78 of Lakeville, born June 4, 1946 in Stillwater, MN to Ralph and Dorothy Keiser, passed
away peacefully surrounded by his family December 26, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his siblings: Dean, Yvonne Gantzer, Barbara Evans, and Jerry and his
niece, Joanne Gantzer.
Chuck will be dearly missed by his children: Michelle (Scott) Christopherson, Shane (Pamela),
Charles (Shelly) and Lisa (Brian) Kosobud; grandchildren: Shaylyn (Luke) Purcell, Brennah
Kosobud, Elsie Kosobud, Aden Keiser, Garrett Keiser, Spencer Thompson and Savoy (Brooke
Rustad) Thompson; great grandchildren: Edison, Mira, Theo, and Nora; brother, Bob; former
wife and mother of his children, Brenda Keiser; dear friend, Mick Reeves and many other family
and friends.
Chuck enlisted in the US Army at 16 years old and served three tours in Vietnam after which he
was honorably discharged on March 23, 1969. He proudly served his country as a U.S.
Paratrooper fighting in combat alongside his brothers-in-arms of the 82 nd Airborne, 101 st
Airborne and the 1st Air Cavalry. Upon returning home he followed in his father’s footsteps in
the trucking business until retirement. He spent countless days driving across the country often
with his two sons. They both learned all about the trucking business from him and are still in the
industry today. Ask either of his daughters or any of his grandkids and they would all say he
embedded in each one of them the confidence to pursue their dreams and interests
unapologetically as long as they were a good person. He always put on the tough guy exterior,
but on the inside, he was a big teddy bear with a tender heart.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2025 with a visitation one hour
prior to the service at Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, MN. He
will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
A very special thanks to the Minneapolis VA Dialysis, Palliative and Hospice Care Teams.
Memorials may be made to the Minneapolis VA Health Care System or the Fisher House
Foundation.
