Bev was born in Alexandria, MN on November 25, 1963, to Lloyd and Violet Olson. As a child she grew up 2 miles south of Brandon, MN with 2 brothers and 6 sisters; she was the next to youngest child. She had a very happy childhood on the farm with all her brothers and sisters where she became an expert at milking cows. Bev attended Brandon Public Schools through grade and high school, graduating in 1982 as Valedictorian. In school she was an active member of the FFA and a Cheerleader.
Bev attended Moorhead state college and received a 4-year degree in accounting. During college she worked at Arrowwood resort for extra money. After college she started with Farm Credit Administration, where she worked as a Federal Bank Examiner in Bloomington, MN for 36 years until her passing. In 2004, she won the Civil Servant of the Year Award from the Federal Executive Board of Minnesota. She enjoyed her job and her coworkers throughout her career.
Bev was married to Eric on May 6, 1995, in Brandon at West Moe Church. Eric and Bev had a lot of good years living in Burnsville, MN until present. They enjoyed going out together and playing darts, and Bev won first place in cricket league in 1994. Bev enjoyed going places and they went on many great vacations: Jamaica, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Florida, and even once to Bali. In the early 2000s they purchased a lake place on Pelican Lake near Ashby, MN, where they made a lot of good memories over the years, having fires, fishing, boating and just enjoying the lake life.
On February 18, 2004, the most wonderful thing in Bev’s life happened when her daughter Zoe was born. She was the apple of Bev’s eye; they were inseparable as Zoe grew up. Mama was always super proud of her Zoe. Over the years they spent much of each summer at Pelican Lake. During the winters they enjoyed many wonderful vacations, beaches were everyone’s favorite. Zoe graduated from Burnsville High School as Valedictorian in 2022 and is now attending Dartmouth College, and Bev was so proud of her little girl.
Bev will be missed by her family and friends; she was wonderful person who could always make you laugh and smile. She was very loving and generous to everyone who knew her. She will be missed by all of us.
