Substad, Betty M.

Age 91 of South Minneapolis, born May 20, 1926 in Minneapolis to Arthur & Anna Nelson, passed away on July 19, 2017 after suffering a stroke.  Betty, together with her husband, Emil, built Substad Plumbing.  Betty was a loyal Vikings fan since 1961.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Emil and great-granddaughter, Paige.  Betty will be dearly missed by her children: Dan (Sue), Dave (Sue), Joan (Bruce) and Betty; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; family and friends.  Funeral service, 11:00am, Thursday, July 20, 2017 with visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23^rd Ave. S., Mpls.  Betty will be laid to rest with her husband, Emil at Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights.  Memorials may be made to the U of M Foundation.
