Annabelle Dorothy (Tibesar)Jorgensen, age 88, born November 20, 1923 in Kellogg, MN, passed peacefully on Saturday, August 4, at her daughter’s home with her sweet cat Bandit laying in her favorite spot?Annabelle’s lap. Annabelle was preceded in death by Ernie, her soul mate of 62 years, and her beloved son, Alan. Survived by children Jack Jorgensen (Carolyn), and Vicki Reece, daughter-in-law Sue Jorgensen, grandchildren Krista Whiteman (Jeremy), Brandt Jorgensen (Jessica), Jeff Jorgensen (Karen), Priscilla Howell (John), and Joshua Jorgensen (Rachel); 11 great-grandchildren, and dear friends Pat Wagner, Linda Holmes and Beth Woodward. Annabelle was an adventurer and a risk taker from day one! As kids, she and her dear sister Marcella rode horses from sun up to sun down. She never missed an opportunity to trick ride at the local carnivals. Eventually motorcycles caught her eye. She was an enthusiast until she crashed her ’48 Indian leaving it in the ditch never to be retrieved! At 18, she eloped with the love of her life to subsequently travel the world collecting treasures and stories at every stop. Her spirit of adventure held true until her body and clarity of mind interfered. She now embraces Ernie, son Alan, parents Edward and Margaret, sisters Evelyn and Marcella, brother Cleon and a multitude of dear friends and relatives as she embarks on this new adventure. The family thanks the staff of Fairview Hospice care for all they did in keeping a loving eye on her, Linda Holmes for her kind and caring service, and niece Rita and husband John who never let a trip to the cities go without a visit. A celebration of Annabelle’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 7th at 12:30 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary located at 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley MN 55124 (952) 432-2331 followed by a 2:15 interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to your favorite animal rescue center or another charity of choice.
