Agnes Moery, born at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, October 6, 1909, passed away in Minneapolis, December 27, 2006. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Gustava Johnson; husband, Charles Moery; sister, Connie Snater; brother, Leif Johnson, and; daughter, Joan Becker. Beloved ?Nonnie? is survived by daughters, Bonnie Roach and Charlotte Pehrson; grandchildren: William, Julie, Cathy, John, Mimi, Thomas, and Richard; and great-grandchildren: Amy, Anna, Matt, Deanna, Katie, Kylie, Cierra, Sofia and Thomas, Jr. Born to Norwegian immigrants, Agnes traveled with her parents as a toddler back to their hometown of ?…lesund, Norway. They returned to Minneapolis a couple years later to live in a house her father had built in 1909. Agnes married Charles Moery in 1929. Agnes and her husband eventually purchased her childhood home from her parents. Charles passed away in 1958, but Agnes remained in the house for almost 30 more years. The Christmas celebrations held at her house in South Minneapolis are a treasured family memory. In 1998, Agnes moved into Augustana Apartments, where she lived independently up until her death. Agnes was a member of Bethesda Church for 50 years, and remained active in Bible studies and worship at Augustana. Agnes worked for Rothchilds/Young & Quindlen for almost 20 years. Also a longtime employee of Honeywell, Agnes was known to many there as ?Sally?. In addition to her professional career, Agnes was an accomplished seamstress, and in retirement a loving caregiver to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Augustana Health Care Center, 1007 E 14th Street, Mpls, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Augustana (1007 E. 14th St. Mpls. 55404) or to Bethesda Church (15033 S. Hwy 13, Prior Lake, MN 55372)
